Dropped my car off on a Monday, being told that it would be looked at on Tuesday. On Tuesday I was told it would be looked at on Wednesday. On Wednesday, I was told it would be looked at on Thursday. On Thursday I was told that the problem was the battery, and that that was $130 diagnostic fee, plus $40 labor, plus the cost of the battery. And that they could get it done by Friday. The entire time, of course, I was paying for a rental. So that I could wait a week to pay $170 for a service that autozone would have done for free. Those fees would not bother me so much if they hadn't delayed a week - I could have gotten the battery checked myself for free, but didn't think to do that based on the problem, and they have knowledge I don't. I get that. And they did test drive it after, which was the only reason I paid for them to put the battery in - in case it didn't solve the problem, they would have checked for more issues. That's fine. Or it would have been fine if they had done it on Tuesday like they said. Or told me when they'd really get around to it. Instead, they strung me along for a week with "definitely tomorrow" one day at a time, adding a couple hundred more dollars to my total cost. And that I do not appreciate. They did send me a text asking for a review though, so here it is.
